Terms of Use
Addish app (iOS and Android) · Last updated: September 27, 2026
The short version
- Addish offers general education and ideas about eating. It is not medical advice and not a medical device.
- Most of the app is free. Premium is a subscription: $34.99 per year with a 7-day free trial, or $5.99 per month (U.S. prices).
- You buy, manage and cancel through the App Store or Google Play.
- If food or eating feels hard right now, please reach out — helplines are listed below.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply to your use of the Addish mobile app (“Addish”, “the app”), provided in the App Store (iOS) by Christian Koch (Ailionix), Heimfelder Str. 15, 21075 Hamburg, Germany, homework.ai.app@gmail.com, and on Google Play (Android) by Benneth Müller, Benneth Müller Digital Solutions & Education, Borgfelder Str. 16, 20537 Hamburg, Germany, ben@creaiter.com (each for its version: “we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
2. Not medical advice
Addish offers general education and everyday ideas about eating: which simple additions can make a meal or snack more satisfying. It is not medical, nutritional or dietetic advice, it is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not replace a doctor or a registered dietitian.
- If you have a health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication, or have questions about what is right for you, talk to a qualified professional before changing how you eat.
- Allergies and intolerances: the photo scan and the suggestions can be wrong and do not check ingredients or allergens. Never rely on Addish to decide whether a food is safe for you. Your food preferences in the app (for example nut-free or gluten-free) only filter suggestions; they are not an allergen check.
- The AI features (photo scan, add-on suggestions and meal ideas, menu helper, craving helper) produce automatic results that may be incomplete or inaccurate. You can correct them, and you decide what you eat.
3. If eating feels hard
Addish is not built for people who are dealing with an eating disorder, and it is no substitute for care. If food, eating or your body feel overwhelming, please talk to someone:
- United States: ANAD Helpline, 1-888-375-7767 (anad.org) · National Eating Disorders Association (nationaleatingdisorders.org)
- Canada: NEDIC, 1-866-633-4220 (nedic.ca)
- United Kingdom (England): Beat, 0808 801 0677 (beateatingdisorders.org.uk)
- Australia: Butterfly Foundation, 1800 33 4673 (butterfly.org.au)
- Germany: BIÖG — Essstörungen (essstoerungen.bioeg.de) · TelefonSeelsorge, 0800 111 0 111 (telefonseelsorge.de)
In an emergency, call your local emergency number. The app shows these contacts under Settings → “If food feels hard right now”, and our support page lists them too.
4. Who can use Addish
Addish is made for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. To buy a subscription you must also be old enough to enter into a purchase contract where you live.
5. Free features and Premium
Many features are free: typing what's on your plate, add-on ideas for it, cravings from the app's list, the situation playbooks and hunger check-ins. New users can also try the plate scan and the menu helper a few times for free; the number of free tries may change.
Addish Premium adds more plate scans, the menu helper, all hunger patterns and more saved plates. To keep the service fair and affordable, the AI features have daily limits for everyone, including Premium; if you reach one, you can use them again the next day. We may improve, change or remove individual features; if a change takes away a core Premium feature during a paid period, we will tell you in advance where possible.
6. Subscriptions, free trial, renewal and cancellation
- Plans (U.S. prices): annual, $34.99 per year, starting with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; monthly, $5.99 per month. Prices in other countries are set by the App Store or Google Play in your currency and are shown in the app before you buy, including applicable taxes.
- Billing: payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trial: if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you are not charged. If notifications are allowed, the app reminds you once before the trial ends. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
- Cancel or manage: in your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or from Settings in the app (“Manage subscription”). Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play.
- Restore: “Restore purchases” in the app reconnects an existing subscription on a new device with the same store account.
- Price changes: the store informs you about price changes in advance and, where required, asks for your consent.
Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers): your purchase contract is concluded with Apple or Google, which also handle any statutory right of withdrawal under their terms. Our agreement with you under these terms does not limit these rights.
7. Using the app fairly
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial purposes. Please don't:
- access our server other than through the app, automate requests, or try to get around free-try limits, daily limits or the subscription check;
- upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to use, or photos of other people without their consent;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
8. Your content and feedback
Photos and texts you submit remain yours. You allow us to process them to provide the feature you asked for, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it to improve Addish, without any obligation to you.
9. Availability
The photo scan, add-on suggestions and meal ideas, the menu helper and the craving helper need an internet connection and our server. When they are unavailable, typing your plate and the built-in guide still work. We do our best to keep Addish running but cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded. Decisions you make based on the general information in the app remain your responsibility; see section 2. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
11. Apple App Store
If you downloaded Addish from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms. For the app and purchases from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) applies; these terms add to it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when features change. We will show the new date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
13. Applicable law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected, and you may bring claims in the courts where you live.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

App Addish (iOS und Android) · Stand: 27. September 2026
Kurz gesagt
- USA: ANAD Helpline, 1-888-375-7767 (anad.org) · National Eating Disorders Association (nationaleatingdisorders.org)
- Kanada: NEDIC, 1-866-633-4220 (nedic.ca)
- Vereinigtes Königreich (England): Beat, 0808 801 0677 (beateatingdisorders.org.uk)
Bitte
- greif nicht anders als über die App auf unseren Server zu, automatisiere keine Anfragen und umgehe keine Gratisversuchs-, Tages- oder Abo-Grenzen;
- lade keine rechtswidrigen Inhalte hoch, keine Inhalte, an denen du keine Rechte hast, und keine Fotos anderer Menschen ohne deren Einverständnis;
