Privacy Policy

Reusy for iPhone, iPad and Mac · Last updated September 25, 2026

1. Who is responsible

Controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Benneth Müller (Creaiter), Borgfelder Straße 16, 20537 Hamburg, Germany. Contact for all privacy questions: ben@creaiter.com.

2. Short version

3. Data that stays on your device

Everything you save is stored locally on your device. Text recognition and image classification (so you can find scans and photos by the words and subjects in them) run on your device through Apple's frameworks. On devices with Apple Intelligence, phrasing answers, suggesting titles or tags and rewriting a text when you ask for it run on the device through Apple's on-device model; Reusy makes no calls to external AI services. Items in the trash are never passed to Apple Intelligence. Suggestions and rewrites are shown as previews; your saved item changes only if you apply a suggestion. Conversations with the in-app assistant are not stored.

Reusy reads the clipboard only when you tap a paste or capture button. Photos you add are chosen with Apple's photo picker, which gives Reusy only the photos you select. On iPhone and iPad, items you share into Reusy from other apps (share sheet) are first stored in a local inbox on your device and then added to your collection.

So that the system search on your device can find them, the titles, text and tags of your items are added to the on-device Spotlight index. Items in the trash are left out. On iPhone and iPad, the Home Screen widget shows your favorites from a local copy on the device.

4. Permissions

Reusy asks for a permission only when you use the function that needs it. The data is used only for that function and is not transmitted to us.

PermissionUsed for
Camera (iPhone, iPad)Scanning paper documents you want to keep in Reusy.
MicrophoneRecording voice notes. Recording starts only when you tap the record button. Voice notes are saved in your collection like any other item.
Add to Photos (iPhone, iPad)Saving an image you share from Reusy to your photo library, only when you choose that option in the share sheet. This permission allows adding only; Reusy cannot read your photo library through it.

5. iCloud

If iCloud is available for Reusy on your Apple Account, your collection syncs automatically between your devices through Apple's CloudKit private database. Reusy has no separate sync switch of its own; to keep Reusy on one device only, turn off Reusy for iCloud on that device (iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → iCloud; Mac: System Settings → your name → iCloud). Without an iCloud account Reusy keeps your collection on the device only. This data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account; we as the developer cannot access it. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

6. Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

Reusy Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To offer, verify and restore the purchase we use RevenueCat, Inc. (USA). RevenueCat receives purchase and transaction information, an anonymous app user ID generated by the app, and technical device, app and network data needed to administer purchases. We use RevenueCat's dashboard to see purchase statistics. We do not send names, email addresses, advertising identifiers or any of your items to RevenueCat. Legal basis: performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in understanding sales (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, otherwise on the EU standard contractual clauses. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

The app also counts on your device how often the Reusy Pro screen was opened and how purchase attempts ended. These counts contain no content and no identifiers and are not sent anywhere.

Under Settings → Help & Support you can copy a Support ID (your anonymous purchase ID). It is sent to us only if you include it in a message to support.

7. Exports

When you export your collection, the archive file is created on your device and goes only where you send it.

8. Support emails

If you write to us, we use your message and email address only to answer you. The "Report a problem" link next to an Apple Intelligence suggestion or rewrite opens a prepared email in your mail app; it contains only what you write plus the app version, the system version and the name of the feature, never the item, the instruction or the result, and it is sent only if you send it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

9. How long data is kept, and how to delete it

10. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). Send requests to ben@creaiter.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

11. Children

Reusy is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

12. Changes

We update this policy when the app's data processing or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
